Truck Wash Operation Considerations

By Lance Winslow Platinum Quality Author

In the Truck Wash Industry there are some serious issues now with labor. With the unemployment so low you can imagine how tough it is to find really hard working labor. Keeping a crew is tough too, because truck washing is very hard work indeed. There is no easy way presently to wash trucks without intensive labor, the machines in the Truck Wash Industry work good for flat surfaces like Tour Buses and Tractor Trailers, but not so well for tractors with all the body lines.

Everyone is having a problem with labor these days and the Hispanic Illegal Thing is sending some shock waves thru the industry. Still you are better off hiring college kids, athletes. You pay them more but they speaketh English and hustle. Sometimes that is impossible. I think a Truck Wash down the street from a College right near the juntion of a North South FWY and an East West FWY with both being interstates would be killer.

Truck Washing is a 7-day a week business. Tuesday is a very busy day unlike the car wash business, as carwashing is a FRI-SUN game and hours are indeed a huge issue too. Theory;
